Limited Capacity seats available

Enterprise Services Planning (ESP) scales Kanban to the enterprise, but how to you begin such a major shift in a large longstanding business? This workshop takes lessons from Xbox’s journey into the Windows organization, with its 30-year history and over ten thousand engineers, to put you on a path to ESP within an existing enterprise.

Topics include:

·       A short history of Windows and Xbox

·       The barriers to Kanban and ESP in the enterprise

·       When different planning and execution cultures clash (role-play)

·       A phased pathway to ESP in an established enterprise

·       Bridging between established enterprise planning and Kanban (exercise)

·       Reporting of estimates and status into the enterprise (exercise)

·       Coordination and release of enterprise components (exercise)

·       Embracing ESP at scale through further componentization of services

ESP provides the framework to coordinate services and resources across the enterprise, but it doesn’t happen overnight. You need a way to smoothly transition established organizations “on the fly”. If a 30-year-old business like Windows with over ten thousand engineers can get moving, so can yours. Join us for a fun and engaging ride to enterprise success.
